OSTEOPATHY
Osteopathy is a manual approach whose objective is to restore the function of the structures and systems of the body in order to optimize its capacity for self-regulation. This practice is based on in-depth knowledge of the health sciences and interactions specific to the body’s balance. A fine and precise palpation completes an overall assessment of the body and makes it possible to identify the origin of dysfunctions in the neuro-musculoskeletal, visceral and cranial spheres. Each osteopathic appointment is specific and individualized.
During a first meeting, the osteopath opens your file with a detailed questionnaire on your state of health and the problem that leads you to consult. These questions may seem unrelated to your reason for consultation, but they are essential to understand the sources of your discomfort.
During your session, the osteopath may ask you to be in your underwear or wear tight-fitting clothing to make it easier to observe your posture and mobility. All this information as well as those collected during the questionnaire will guide osteopath in his palpatory assessment.
Don’t be surprised to see an osteopath work in areas of your body that may appear remote from the site of your symptoms. Do not hesitate to ask your osteopath to explain his approach to you during osteopathy treatment if he does not do so spontaneously.
The duration of the osteopathy session is 50 minutes.

TRAINING
François has been involved in education since he graduated from school. First at the College of Osteopathic Studies in Montreal, where he was a supervisor, thesis or essay director, assistant professor and most recently, a biomechanics teacher.
In addition to this, you need to know more about it. He is also involved in the development and teaching at Spinal Mouvement of courses for health and training professionals. These specific exercise classes for the upper and lower limbs are derived from Jean-François Harvey's "Spinal Training" method. They deepen the theory of anatomy, pathology and biomechanics, but above all emphasize a practical component focused on exercises adapted to each region. In addition to this, you need to know more about it.
Always looking for solutions to free movement restrictions, François discovered and deepened self-massages. His “Self-massage for injury prevention” courses, which he teaches in three-hour blocks and online, provide the tools for anyone involved in an autonomous approach to managing their pain, gaining amplitude or quality of movement. In addition to this, you need to know more about it.
